A mutli-leg trip
Anyone go on a mutli-leg trip in Europe before with many destinations? Or have ideas how we can do the following cheaply:
Bari, Italy Florence Frankfurt
We were goign to fly everywhere b/c the train trip from Florence to Bari is long. I've been packaging it different ways on airline sites - mutli-leg from JFK to Bari to Florence to Germany then i tried booking separate flights for all and $$$.
Also, anyone know if there are direct flights in the NY area to Bari, Italy? TIA!

I would fly r/t from the states to Rome-- then take a look at the low cost airlines that fly within Europe.
You can find them here-- or google low cost airlines for other options. http://www.etn.nl/lcosteur.htm

Re: A mutli-leg trip
You can also get some pretty cheap flights to Frankfurt being that it is one of the major hubs in the world.
here are some cheap airline sites (keep in mind they fly to the little airports outside of the main city, usually an hour or so):
Ryan Air Flys out of Frankfurt Hahn and goes to Rome
Germanwings Flys out of Stuttgart about 3 hours from Frankfurt.
Easy Jet I have only flown out of England with this one. You can fly out of other airports around Europe.
IMO, I would get a round trip to Frankfurt and then fly the cheap airlines from there. From my experience getting multilegs or one ways from major airlines are $$$.
