Cat panting?
I have a 6 month old kitten named Holden. A couple of months ago we were playing with him and he started panting. He was playing really hard. We didnt see it again until recently, when we got him a new toy that hangs from the door. He loves this toy, but he plays so hard with it that it always results in panting and we now have special times when he can play with the toy and then have to take it away from him.
I am going to bring it up next time we go to the vet with him, but that might be a bit. Is this something that needs immediate attention? Anyone have this experience before. I have only seen one cat in my life pant one time and that was b/c it was really hot out. She lived to 18.

Re: Cat panting?
Totally normal- especially for a kitten.

Re: Cat panting?
Our cat is three years old and he still does it when he plays. Some cats just pant when they play like that. My mom has two cats that do the same thing.

Re: Cat panting?
I used to run DHs cat around like nuts and he used to pant and DH used to get upset at me like I was hurting the kitty
I guess I'm used to it from having dogs, I didn't think there was anything abnormal about it!
