About PG weeks changing or not
I visited a doctor exactly 1 week ago today for a sono and measured 7w2d. Yesterday I went to another location and they measured 7w3d. I told the doctor I saw yesterday I was 8 weeks and she said not by the sono they took.
That puzzled me. The doctor said the weeks can change all the time and 4 days is nothing. Well I just took that but it still puzzles me. All I kept thinking about was that baby grew a day in 7 days?
Sorry girls if this question is silly but is this normal/common/, has it happened to you? Just a little concerned obviously.

Being that it's not really a big difference they won't really change your due date from that. Maybe later on in the pregnancy when they start to get the baby's meausurements they would - but for now - I would go by the date your doctor says.
In the beginning the baby was measuring a few days smaller than my due date (and I knew the date of my last period) - by week 23 the baby is now meausring two weeks ahead (although they still didn't change my due date)

I was measuring a few days smaller than my due date at my first sono. Then I had an emergency one and they added a few days. I still am two days or so behind but I think it will change as the baby gets better. I'm not going to worry about it and neither should you!

Re: About PG weeks changing or not
My doc puzzles me. With DD is measure consistently by sono's 1 week ahead, never changed my due date.
#2-I was measuring 5 days behind what they thought i was at my first sono and he bumped my due date up. the sono's after that, i am still measuring for my new due date. So who knows!!

Hmmm most doctors won't change your due date for a few days off or even a week off at visits. Esp b/c due dates are just estimates.
I was measuring right to the day up until about 3 weeks ago then I was measuring 1 week ahead they said that the dates are only estimates (as are the weights - I measured 1.9 oz one day and 1.7oz two days later somewhere else)so they usually don't change them unless it is a big difference. It is not something I would worry about

Re: About PG weeks changing or not
From what I've read, most babies conform to certain measurements in the very beginning. This means that there isn't really a range, if your baby has a certain measurement, the dr can pin point how many weeks you are.
It's really a guessing game in the early months because you never really know when you ovulated or other circumstances.
The most important thing is not to worry. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. Once you get further along, the results will be more accurate.

Re: About PG weeks changing or not
My date changed several times in the first tri. Since we did not know the exact date of conception or ovulation we were "guessing" according to LMP. Well we were off by 10 days.
