Double Stroller for non-twins

Hi all!

I am starting to research strollers and have a question for moms with two children that were born at different times.

Can you get a side by side stroller that allows the car seat bucket to snap on?

I have a 21 month old and am due in July. I would love to get a side by side stroller but don't know if i can.

I had the phil and ted e3 and returned it. I really want both kids to be able to see out. But if i can't do it - then I will get the front to back one.

Thanks so much
Vera

I am almost positive they have one that accommodates the car seat, I will see if I can find a pic for you.

ETA: I can't post the pic but I believe the duoglider accommodates the car seat in the front and your older child in the back, HTH Chat Icon

I have been researching this for a while now..I have not seen a side by side that accomodates an infant carseat..

I also think the tandems would be easier when shopping at the mall and such since they fit easier in tight spots

I'm either gonna go with the graco quattro tour or the sit and stand elite..

Did you check the Graco duoglider? Either seat can accomodate an infant car seat while the other child is seating in the stroller?

I have the MacLaren Twin Traveller. DS#1 was 20 months old when DS#2 was born. I love that both seats lie flat independently (the front to back ones, only the back seat lies flat).

The downside: the infant carseat does not attach to it.

I am most likely getting a Sit and Stand - either Baby Trend or the One Step Ahead - not sure about the Elite ones - maybe just traditional sit and stand. My son will be exactly 2.5 when baby is born.

Re: Double Stroller for non-twins

My DD will be 14 months old when #2 is born. I have done so much research on doubles, my head is spinning and I can't find one i really like yet that can accomodate a newborn by either the seat attaching or lying completely flat-plus i am not even sure i want to take the newborn out of the carseat to put in the stroller.

Personally, I think the duogliders are so cumbersome and heavy-they weigh 38 lbs just the stroller without kids in em.

We are looking at the combi LX or EX, but the seats dont' lay completely flat even though they say they are okay for a newborn, it looks like a newborn will be still too small for the harness and the angle. They do take a combi infant seat though-this one is side by side.

I also like the Inglesia twin swift-this is my #1 pic. Also a side by side.

We are prob going to wait as long as posssible to get a stroller, i want to get one i really really love. I already have 3 single strollers! I don't want to purchase another one and not like it!

As of now I am thinking of getting a sling for the newborn and take my single stroller with DD out when i am by myself for walks around. DH is always with me when we do errands, mall etc since we only have 1 car.
