have an interview tomorrow need tips

a few questions i need help with.

1. i need to bring my wallet and stuff in what should i carry it, big purse, small purse,"brief case" purse?

2. jewelry, how much is to much. i have my engagment ring, wedding band, and diamond stud earrings is this to much?

3. need to bring resume what should i carry it in if i am also bringing a purse?

1. I always use a "brief case" purse for interviews. I feel like's easier to just bring 1 bag that fits everything I need.

2. That is not too much jewelry.

3. I have a nice black leather resume holder for my resume. I think I got it in Staples. Make sure you bring extra copies of your resume and any other documents they asked you to bring.

I usually bring a large purse or a tote. I don't own a briefcase. I think as long as it's neat and not gaudy it's fine

That's not too much at all. In school they taught us not to have more than 7 points of attention. So each piece of jhewlry would be one point, or if you had shiny buttons or something they would count. That sounds lieka reasonable amount of jewelry

I bring my resume in a padfolio so I can also take notes depending on the type of interview

I never bring my purse on interviews. I don't think it is wrong to do that, but for me, I prefer to have everything in 1 big bag.

I purchased this Targus laptop bag for $40 at Staples.


I use a portfolio with a legal pad in it to carry copies of my resumes.

I put my license, money, cc's, etc in a wristlet. everything fits into the bag nicely and I am only carrying that. IMO, it looks professional and put together.


ETA: as far as jewelry goes, I believe that less is more. I only wear my wedding rings, a watch and my diamond studs.
