My cat does that too
My sister had a little orange cat named Seven
My BIL would leave change on the dresser, etc and it would disappear
When they went to move, then moved the bed in the guest room and the carpet was coming up, they lifted it and under it was almost 20 bucks worth of change and bills, earrings, hair ties, garbage bag ties, etc. It was so funny! We thought he was saving up to run away!!
