Dinner parties

can you ladies give me some ideas on what you make when hosting a dinner party ( for about 6 people) what kind of meat/veggies do you serve?

You can always go the safe route and make sauce and pasta, lasagna, baked ziti, usually everyone likes that.

If you think your guests will like other types of food you can always make:

some type of fish
pork
pot roast
lamb chops
chicken stuffed or rolled with feta and spinach
steak (being its nice out its a good time to start BBQing)

the last dinner party we hosted, we made chicken cutlets, penne a la vodka, salad and vegetable!

with all of the fixings

Avocado and tomato Salad

Shrimp Cocktail
Salmon Steaks (or tuna steaks)
String Beans
Mashed Potatoes or Roasted Potatoes

Meatloaf
Roasted Potatoes
Pasta Salad
Corn on the Cob

Desserts:
Chocolate Covered Fruit-
Strawberries,Bananas,Apricots...

Pound Cake
sliced and layered with whipped topping and berries-Rasberries,Strawberries,blackberries and blueberries

poke Marshmellows- dip them in caramel and then rolled in rise krispes...i like chocolate ones, put on wax paper... leave in the fridge til chilled
