Centerpiece Ideas Needed
Hi Ladies,
I'm running our annual fashion show/brunch (at the Hibernians) in 2 weeks and I'm looking for some cute, cheap centerpiece ideas.
We usually hold it the Sunday before Easter and one lady makes great chocolate bunnies or lollipops that we make a cp out of, but as it's after Easter this year, I'm stuck for what to do.
I'm not crafty or creative so I need help. Emphasis is on CHEAP - this is a fundraiser!
TIA

if the lady still is making the lollipops you can get easter basket stuff it with the colored "grass" and stick the lollipops in it to make it look like a bouquet. to hold the lollipops put that green hard styrofoam in the bottom of the basket.

Thanks! That's exactly what we did last year! I wonder if I could ask her to make chocolate flowers (for Spring) instead

Re: Centerpiece Ideas Needed
anything in springy colors...or a color theme....like yellow, turquoise, and lime green
what about cut outs in the shape of purses or shoes?
flower pens in a terra cotta pot? It's pretty easy to make them (I've done it)
large glass vases or jars that you could find at thrift stores or goodwills filled with just about anything..... colored stones seashells candy fake flowers stuffed inside colored water and floating candles if it's got a large opening or is a bowl

Great - Love this idea!!! Would it work if I put the pens in vases instead of pots? I have about 20 vases from another event.
Now, how do I make them???

yes, as long as the vases are the right size to make it look like a bouquet.
basically what you do is get some regular ball point pens (or you can experiment with pencils or markers....or various sizes of writing utensils).
You need some florist tape (I got mine at Michaels) and a hot glue gun and some fake flowers.
Remove the nubby cap from the top of the pen. Starting at the bottom (pen tip) start wrapping the pen with the florist tape and overlap the edges (you need to pull it tight so it sticks) and wrap upwards (or you can try the opposite way...I forgot!). Where the nubby cap goes, you hot glue a fake flower head.
TA DA....you have a flower pen!

Thank you SO much! That sounds like something even I could manage!
