spinoff to wedding hair...
If you are going to a wedding but are not in the bridal party, do you usually get your hair done? What styles do you usually do?

That is so funny you posted this b/c I am going to a wedding this Sat. and was thinking about it. DH is in the bridal party but I'm not. I am going to get it blown out straight to look nicer than I could do at home.

I usually get it blown out (I have wavy hair) it just looks neater. If it's a special wedding and depending on what I wear, I'd get an updo.

I usually don't. but if i need a haircut I will often try to make an appoint for the day of the wedding.

If i get my hair done - it is just usually a blow out b/c I can never get it nice when I try to straighten it
But I don't get up do's done if I am not in the wedding, b/c they always make it look too fancy

If I dont get a blowout, I usually just spend more time doing my own hair. I once went to a wedding & everyone thought I had it professionally done because I actually had & took the time to do it myself.

I attempt to curl it myself sometimes. I had it blown out once.
I've seen other peopel get their hair put up for a wedding, and it always looks so put together.
I think as long as its not super-attention getting, its fine.
ETA- I'd probably get a simple updo for a wedding my DH is in this fall, but it's not local so I will attempt tp do something myself.

I don't think so at all. I think an updo might be a bit much depending on the style but I have had my hair curled for weddings before. I have my cousins wedding in June and I am going to get it done then too. I just enjoy getting dolled up without looking overdone, maybe wear a more simple dress.
