Re: You on a Diet
One of my friends was telling me about this a while ago. I don't know if she got the book. I just flipped through the basics on Oprah's site and a lot it makes sense and seems like a reasonable adjustments towards a healthy lifestyle.

I watched that on PBS> Those are definitely good healthy adjustments! I think that's probably one of the best health plans out there.

Re: You on a Diet
This book is by Dr Oz right? The man is amazing. He did robotic heart surgery on my dad, and when we met him, he was so nice and extremelly educated on all things healthwise (he even offered us a fig when we went into the room---my mom said to me, i'll have it only if its wrapped in a newton!!!)
Anyway, my parents read all of his books, and absolutely love him!

Re: You on a Diet
Seriously tyhose obesity charts are BS. Theyw ere made up by a mthematician in Switzerland or something in the 1800's to do some kind of math based work, and have no basis in what is actually a healthy body weight. According to those charts George Clooney and Brad Pitt are Obsese.
It's not good to be overweight and you should definitely strive toward a healthier, fitter new you, but don't let the charts scare you too much. The right weight is truly an individual thing. There is no "right" weight for every single person who is the same height. BEFORE I gained weight post car accident I was obese on those charts, but I absolutely was not obese. I was overweight, I could stand to lose 20 lbs, but I was mainly fit and muscular, I danced, I played several sports, etc.
DOn't go by the charts, go by how you feel. That having been said, that YOU on a diet program seems to be a really good program for ANYONE
