What are you guys eating?
I am most scared about this...and labor right now! I feel like I may not be getting the right nutrition. Do you count calories and protein grams or just wing it? What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner? What about caffeine? Thanks

EVERYTHING! LOL!!! My dr. said not to deny your craving's but to do it in moderation. So that's what I do. One day I might be bad and have McDonalds for lunch, and the next day I'll have a salad. The two things that I am very careful with is the amount of water I drink - Drink lots of it! AND the caffeine that I consume. I will have one strong cup of coffee a day, but then that's it. No soda, no iced tea, etc.

Re: What are you guys eating?
My doctor told me only to cut out raw meat and seafood, but I am being overly cautious. I have cut out:
most caffeine (occassionally sipping from DH), nothing diet or w/splenda, sweet & low/ equal cutting down on fish no peanuts (only recently added that one)
I am trying to eat healthy, but haven't been so successful. Before I got pg I would eat a salad a day and now I can't stand the thought of raw veggies and the Balsamic vinegar. I eat A LOT of fruit- its really the main thing I have been craving. At first I ate a lot of crap (fried rice/ McDonalds often/ etc...) but I am really trying to cut down on that and force myself to eat healthier.

Re: What are you guys eating?
When I had m/s and serious food aversions, I ate pretty much whatever I could muster, which was usually lots of carbs... now that I'm rearing towards the end of the pregnancy I'm back to my normal eating habits - grapenuts and soymilk for breakfast, a muffin or peice of fruit for snack, salad for lunch, another piece of fruit for a snack and then fish and some veggies for dinner... and some chocolate soymilk here and there throughout the day I have to be a little more careful than most because I don't eat meat so I have to watch my protein... other than that, I wing it!

Re: What are you guys eating?
Thanks fdor the responses. My Dr told me only 2 servings of fish per week which ***** because i am a major seafood/ sushi person. Also the cold cuts thing is killing me. I would have a turkey sandwich for lunch. I have been eating eggs in the morning on whole wheat I do also have one cup of coffee a day-I used regular sugar today-I heard Splenda was ok though? It so happens I joined weight watchers a week before I found out I was pregnant so I go on Wed. hopefully I can stay on it and that will give me some good guidelines. Thanks

Re: What are you guys eating?
The thing was, I was a pretty healthy eater before I got pregnant. Every day I had a spinach salad with oil and vinegar dressing. Now the thought of salad or grilled chicken is about the most unappetizing thing to me...

Re: What are you guys eating?
at 6.5 weeks, m/s has started kicking in the last week or so with some major food aversions. I am a carb queen, it's the only thing right now that really satisfies me and keeps those queasies at bay. I eat all day long, just little things. I have been a fast food, fried food junkie the last 2 weeks and gained 5 lbs That ended yesterday after I got on the scale, no more french fries for me! What I have been really craving and eating lots of is cheese! cheese on anything!!
I cut caffeine out after my last pg, but I don't drink anything with caffeine in it, no diet soda, nothing at all with artificial sweetners, deli meat. I haven't even drank decaf coffee in over a week. I don't know how long it will last though!

Re: What are you guys eating?
BAH!! Count calories....I eat whatever is in front of my face!
I've been known to polish off half a bag of cheeze doodles by myself.
I do eat 3 meals a day and snack in between lunch and dinner and sometimes after dinner too.
Breakfast: bowl of cereal, glass of OJ, prenatal, and sometimes a banana
Lunch: leftovers or yogurt & granola bar & fruit leather from Trader Joe's and a small tupperware of applesauce
Dinner: usually a good dinner meat & carb, DH doesn't care for veggies much, so sometimes I skip them or I'll throw a frozen corn on the cob in the micro for jsut me.
I'm on a big french fry kick....like my boss will save some of hers from lunch for me or if I'm home alone I'll make Tyson popcorn chicken and fries in the toaster oven.
Snacks: everything from Cool whip and a piece of fruit cut up, ice cream, chips, dry cereal, a glass of chocolate milk, to Hostess cupcakes and ice cream sandwiches.
