Bare Minerals girls - I converting to Pur Minerals!
I ran out of my Bare Minerals, so I headed out to Ulta to pick up more. I decided to give the Pur Minerals a try because I am tired of the mess BM makes. It is great! It comes pressed but it works the same if not even better. So far I have just tried the starter kit - I might try some more of their products next time around.
If you don't want to fully convert, it is worth buying it just to stick in your handbag if you want to touch up during the day, instead of dragging around all the Bare Minerals dust.

That's great how it comes with a pressed powder. I won't use Bare Minerals anymore because it's way too messy.

I just made a huge mess in my bathroom this morning with my Bare Minerals. I'll have to try Pur Minerals.

I don't think it is the same company.
As far as their colors go, I do not think they have as many yet as BM (I'm not sure). But as far as the foundation goes, I am thrilled with it. The brush the starter kit came with was just o.k.

I saw the presentation of this stuff on Shop NBC several months ago. I was wondering how it compares to BE. hmmm maybe I will give it a try. I LOVE BE but HATE the mess. And forget about traveling with it! it’s awful.
FYI for all Ulta club members... they sent me a 20% off postcard which is good for ANY purchase. it's valid 4/6-4/13.

I mostly use BE for the foundation even though I have some of the other products as well. I do love the bronzer, but I only wear that in the summer.

interesting. I am a super-spaz with my BM pots, since I do not have a vanity I am ALWAYS dropping some down my sink
Does it have a top coat like the Mineral Veil?

just bought it on your suggestion and LOVE it! the starter kit did not come with a "veil" powder...maybe they do have it in their product line tho..

Not that I know of. I have just been using the BM veil. I hope they come out with one though.

Re: Bare Minerals girls - I converting to Pur Minerals!
just an FYI - I recently wrote to Bare Minerals asking about a more travel friendly solution and then mentioned that Pur Minerals has the minerals in a "pressed powder" form. this is the response I got:
"There are no binders, oils, talc, or preservatives in our products, so we will not carry a pressed powder in our bareMinerals line of makeup as it would require us to put these products into our formulas."

that's what I'm concerned about - I don't want to start breaking out again. I guess I will deal with the powder mess!

that's what I'm concerned about - I don't want to start breaking out again. I guess I will deal with the powder mess! I don't have an issue with breakouts, but i have very sensitive skin. what I would like to do is go to Ulta "naked" and use the Pur Minerals and see how it works on my skin.
I LOVE the BE products, I am a huge advocate. but I have to admit that it's such a PIA sometimes!!!!!

Re: Bare Minerals girls - I converting to Pur Minerals!
I just wanted to say that I was in Ulta earlier today and tried the Pur Minerals. I needed several coats of the foundation to get the same coverage I do with 1 or 2 coats of Bare Minerals. I was going to try their starter kit, but I'm not impressed.

I was going to buy this to bring to the hospital but if I have to multi-layer then maybe it is not worth it.....

It's nice, don't get me wrong. it's also only $35 for the starter kit, so if I really needed it for travel (or hospital), I would definitely go for it. but to replace my BE, nope.

Yeah, but since I will be BF & stuff with the baby I think I'd rather have quick application....KWIM?

Ulta takes everything back
