Report from NWR - what to do?
What would you do in this situation? I went for an interview almost two weeks ago (on a Friday) at which the woman said she was very eager to hire within the next week or so, so I should get her my references by Monday the latest. At the same time, there was a written exercise she wanted to give me and would send it so I could work on it over the weekend.
Well, I immediately sent a thank you saying I was eager to work on the exercise. Then I sent an email that night with all my references. Nearly two weeks has now passed with no contact, absolutley NONE - not even a thank you for my references, there are delays, etc.
Now, I jsut got an email, she says she's sorry but its been busy, and here's the exercise - again, please get it back to her ASAP. The exercise is quite lengthy and will take some time to do it well.
Should I bother or withdraw my candidacy? I'm pretty PO'd that she took this long and everything is rush rush from me, but she takes her time. I don't think I even want to work for someone like that then.

Hey Sarah,
I am in a similar situation, but the HR manager won't call me back to set up an interview!!!!
I would do the exercise, just to see if you get the job. You will also be proving that you are a responsible, level-headed, organized person. Hey, you may even get her job one day!
Good luck, you can always turn it down in the end.
