I got the job!!!!!!!!
After waiting by the phone I got the call! I got the job I wanted!!!
I am so excited. This is my first "real" job with actual benefits and regular pay!
Woo hoo!
I start training on April 9th in NJ, and after a week I go up to White Plains, where they are working on making a new office for me and some of the people I'll be working with!!

awesome, what kind of job?
it's sort of a management/admin position.
I will be managing tutors and families who buy tutoring. Hiring, recruiting, training and developing tutors. Helping parents pick the right courses for their children, mathcing them with tutors, overseeing the process. Marketing, getting more students. Payroll, there's a lot involved.
I have a head start though because I actually WAS a tutor for several years, and my boss now was my boss then (he was in the position I will be starting now, and he has moved up a rung to be in charge of tutoring for the tri-state region).

Yeah I really like the job and my boiss (and the fact that my boss is in another state). There are very few office jobs I think I could be happy with and this is one of them. Also, there is a LOT of room for advancement, so I think it's a good opportunity, and if I decide the commute is too long I can A) move or B) work for a few years and then see if something closer within the company opens up. But I have talked to a lot of people who say it really isn't that bad. I think for a job I really like it's worth it. Also, it will be exciting. I know nothing about Westchester, so it'll be a good experience learning a new area.
ANYTHING you can tell me about the area is welcome. Where to go, where to staya way from, good places for lunch, shopping, nail salons, etc.
