I need lower FSH vibes please!!
Hi all -
I just got back from my consultation at NYU and the bottom line is if my FSH doesn't get to 12.4 there will be no IVF for us 
So please send me some lower FSH vibes, I really need them!!!

Why?  I was told that since my FSH was slightly high (10) that it might make it difficult for the egg to hatch from the zona pellucida (the shell). They did assisted hatching before my transfer to help with this.
Is there something else with FSH that would keep you from doing IVF?

If your levels are usually over 15 they won't do IVF because the eggs are usually too fragile. Don't forget, IVF clinics have their statistics they are concerned about, it doesn't mean you can't conceive naturally with a Fsh of 15 etc

This is a highly recommended book for ladies who have high fsh levels. Acupuncture, herbs and diet can really lower fsh levels.

Thanks Ladies!! your good thoughts really help alot...
Annie - my last cd3 (yesterday) FSH was 20 (it went up from 14)  , so that's why they won't consider it. 10 would be fine for me since they'll take anything under 12.4
For now they said to prepare as though it will happen so I am trying to think positive. I would be a day 2 starter with no lupron or BCP. If I get the good FSH level I would start with Follitism (sp?) that night, the do a retrieval in about 2 weeks I think.
As for lowering the FSH I have gone to acupuncture 2x, so it's making me nervous that my number went higher
Michelle thanks for recommending that book I will look into it..

They do **** but that's because so many "care" about their success rates.
I feel lucky NYU is working with me since I've read on other boards girls that weren't even considered because of their levels.
I think my age helps a bit too, I'm turning 35 next month so according to the dr that is still "young"

I would speak to your acupunturist about it! I remember hearing it initially goes up then will come down, but then again, I might be wrong...
