Starting to lose faith
I cannot believe how long it is taking me to find a job. I am so down and depressed about it. I try not to let it get to me, but lately it's just consuming me! 
I've been on so many interviews that went so well and I have heard nothing back, even after I followed up by phone and or email.
I was with the same company for 11 years, it's been a really long time since I looked for a job. I never imagined in a million years it would be this hard

same here, I haven't even gotten calls!
I've been out of work for 6 months, but only seriously started to look in January. Although I did have a few interviews in Oct/Dec.
this is rediculous! 
I hope we can all find job SOON!

Wow.....this makes me feel soooo much better!!! I mean I consider myself a smart and confident woman that has a lot to offer in the work place...and at first not getting any calls did not bother me....figured they would be coming in soon...fast forward 6 months and that confidence starts to deteriorate.
Hang in there everyone, just keep on being diligent about looking and applying(god knows that gets hard to keep up too) and the good offer WILL COME!!!

Hang in there, it is tough and some days are better than others- but we're going through the same boat and we can support each other.
As for me, I'm going on almost 10 months! But I am also being selective and while I haven't had job offers I've come close and one I just even recently withdrew my candidacy b/c of the type of place it was (see other post if interested). I sort of kick myself for taking myself out, but I also don't want to end up in antoher bad situation.
Bottom line- hang in there, be confident something will come along and hopefull sooner rather than later.

thank you for all the encouragement! I'm not happy you don't have jobs, but it is somewhat comforting to know that it's not just me.

I had the same situation after 9/11... I was out for 8mths, on my own...it was tough and like you said I lost all confidence, etc.
Just don't make the same mistake I did and take the first thing that comes knocking at your door...
ETA: and some job dust!
