Went to the Doctor Wednesday
Got some eh news...
She did a PG test, of course that came up negative but I'm ok with that. Unfortunately, the chances of me getting PG anytime soon, don't seem to look good.
Because I was on the shot, she said it could take up to 18 months just to get AF to show up. That really bummed me out.  However, she did say there is something (I forgot the name) that she could prescribe to help speed things up but first she is sending me for some blood work so we'll see what happens.
Compounding the issue is that since we're currently "trying" I could conceivably never get AF and get PG. How? I would ovulate, have sex, get PG and therefore not get AF so she is recommending that every couple of months I take a test. Could you even imagine? Getting PG and not realizing it b/c I'm just thinking, "oh just another month I did get AF?" Good lord!!! Why does something (that SEEMS) so simple be so hard??

She will probably give you Provera to bring on your period and hopefully kick start your cycle.

I would take a test every 6 weeks or so just to make sure..... Good luck and try not to worry!

I was on that shot and it took me over a year to get my period and over a year to get preggo.
That shot messes u up big time.
I hope everything works out for u

i'm sorry...
i would still keep on BDing regularly (like every other to every two days), though, in the hope that you may ovulate even if you don't menstruate.
this happened to a friend of mine - turns out she has PCOS, so different situation, but she had not menstruated in 3 years. she and her DH just BD'd regularly while she got infertility tests done, and lo and behold she got pregnant! turns out she ovulated spontaneously and was able to get pregnant even though she hadn't been menstruating. she is almost 27 weeks now - so it IS possible. GL

Try BD'ing every other day.
