Prom Boutique
It is that time of year again....
I will be collecting dresses for Prom Boutique (and this year will actually get to work at it too!). On Sunday, April 15th, from 12-4 p.m. at the Junior League Headquarters in Roslyn, we will be collecting gently used prom and bridesmaid dresses and accessories (including shoes, evening bags, and costume jewelry):
Junior League of Long Island Thrift Shop, 1395 Old Northern Boulevard, Roslyn
The items collected will be distributed, for free, to girls of families who can't easily absorb the cost of a new dress for their prom, sweet sixteen, or graduation. This year's distribution events will be held at Nassau Community College in the College Center Building in Garden City on Saturday, April 21st, from 9 a.m. to 2 pm and .
TIA Jennifer

Re: Prom Boutique
I have several dresses/shoes..etc.. to donate. I will be in the Roslyn area anyway on Sunday. Should I dry clean these dresses before I bring them over? They are all in excellent shape but some may be wrinkled due to storage.

Re: Prom Boutique
As long as they aren't dirty or stained, they should be fine. They can press them and there will be free alterations for the women too.

Here is the official listing and it lists all the drop off locations (I think there is at least 1 in Suffolk). Prom Boutique
