Question??
I called my doctor and made an appointment. They gave me 9/29. That would make me 6 weeks pregnant. Is that too early to hear a hertbeat?? She also said that would be my first sonogram. Am I suppose to go before that for blood work? Thanks!!!

I just read kelleherkm's post, and she's 6 weeks, and just heard the heartbeat.
Once again, congrats!!!! I just saw your post on TTC the other day about introducing yourself, I'm so happy that you've moved to the pregnancy board.

Congrats again, I believe the heartbeat starts to form at the 6th week. I saw my baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks, 6 days.

I'm pregnant with my second, and I am going to the doctor on 9/29 too. I think I'll be almost 9 weeks by then.
In my first PG, I had a sono at 6 weeks, 2 days and we saw the heartbeat!

No you may be able to hear it. I am 6 weeks 4 days PG today and I just heard the heartbeat this morning! Good luck!!

You heard it or just saw it? I went for a sono at 7 weeks and they didn't even make an attempt to try to hear it...even at my 12 week appt they didn't.

I am a little bit of a bigger girl, so hearing the hearbeat took a little longer... Don't be disappointed if you can't, even if you dont have a little extra lovin!
