Well, I'm not sure if a cockapoo is a pure breed, as it is really a "designer dog."
I love this line:
.........surrendered by her owner because they didn't realize how much work a dog is. 
I am amazed by how often this happens.
The dog is cute, though and I hope it gets a great home.

The cockapoo is actually being considered for its own breed status by the AKC. The "breed" has been in its development stages under supervision by AKC guidelines for almost 30 years. That is approximately how long it takes for a "new breed" to get recognized. The cockerpoo is the only of the "-poo" hybrids that is currently being given any consideration as an official breed.
And yes I love people who buy first & discover later that a dog is work. They should do their research ahead of time. Its a dog people.....not a sweater

My dh and I were just discussing getting one last night. I am just a little hesitant because I have a 9yo lhasa and 2 1/2 yo labradoodle. I dont really know if I want to commit to 3.

awww she is cute. hope she finds a home soon. Both my sister and I have a cockapoo and they are great dogs.
