Award Photographers?

Did anyone use them? I got a post card from them & they day they will come to the house to do the photos.

We used them. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but they were on the expensive side. There was no sit down fee and they did come to your house. Always a plus with Twins.

they are good, but they annoy me. the came to the house saying I won a free 5X7 or something, by the time they were done, I spent like 200 $ !! But the guy they sent was really good with the baby. She was 3 months and I had them come the day of her christening. Now they keep calling saying I am entitled to a free 8X10 for her birthday, and I was oh, no not again, I can't afford it!!

I had them come to the house right after Andrew was born (they called me I guess they got my name from the hosp). The photographer we had, Steve, was great. Andrew was only 8 days old and we got some of the cutest shots. Being a first time mommy, I ordered several poses and a few different sizes. It was like $245 and I was like but we got them and were happy. They told us we could get a free 8x10 once a year on his birthday until he was 5.

For his first birthday, they called and I set an appointment. The photographer this time was not as good with Andrew. When his proofs came in, I was not happy, but wanted a 1st b-day picture to go with his newborn picture. So I picked a pose, tellling her that was my 8x10 (whih was supposed to be free) and then took an additional 2 5x7's for the grandparents. I got distracted at this point with Andrew crying, so I told the lady that was it and I'd write her a check. It was only after she left did I realize I wrote a check for $195 for 2 5x7's (I was told the 8x10 was free).

I never called back to question it, and I know I should have! I think they totally screwed me and made me pay for them all, along with their prosessing fees and such.

Way too expensive and I will NOT be using them again.

I hate them!! They call and call and call and call. I told them to stop once and three days later they called again!!! The girl goes... oh sorry, we have more then one list!!
I think they should be called annoying instead of award.

Trish, that is insane!! THey got your name from the baby expo I think....... At the coliseum. I think that is how they got mine, I tried to win something maybe from them.

I believe they get ur number from the hospital... They contacted me after my son was born, 2.5 yrs ago... the man came for the first sitting and he was like 5 days old.. I only liked one pic from that sitting, (my son was sleeping on my baby blanket) and they talked me into another sitting... they came back and he was 10 days old, and my mom was there, and she fell in love with her first grandson's pics, and ended up buying us a photo collage for 2hundred and change.... and I was also supposed to get the free 5x7... but two years later.. After complaining a $h!tload, they finally sent me the pic I loved from the first sitting for an extra $20 bucks.. at that point I didnt even care I just wanted the pic of my son on MY baby blanket---

To be brutally honest after I sat with them a friend recommended Olan Mills, and I sat with them for my son's first year, and his pics came out INCREDIBLE... And their Photo cards are fairly reasonable... You should get a coupon through all the clubs and stuff moms sign up for, but if not, just go to their website... I can scan you in some pics if you really want me to.. But I can't brag about them enough! GL and Best wishes!!!

The reason I doubt it was the hospital is the FIRST time they called me..... I was still preggo!! And I was like, I am not due yet and they said oh, we will call back the first or second week in sept then

I know they got my name from the hospital. They called after I'd gone in once thinking I was in labor but it was false labor and then again the day after we took Sarah home.

One of my friends worked briefly for one of these companies and said that they get the names from the hospital. Seems like a violation of the privacy act or whatever it is that is supposed to keep your medical records private, but she said that since they just give your name and number and no info on the baby or anything medical it's legal.

ETA: maybe they use multiple sources though.

yes, I did pre-register. Still strange they call me in July before the baby was here.
