if DH does something you don't agree with, do you...?

if you and dh have discussed an issue and you don't agree on the action that should be taken...
...and dh STILL proceeds to do what you're againt, do you let him "sink or swim" on his own or are you still a "team player" when he needs your help?

dh is driving me crazy! he is having a hard time doing something i'm again. do i stand my ground and mind my own business or do i cave and help get his head out of his azz?!

what would you do??

It depends on the situation. Could someone be physically, emotionally, or financially hurt? Then yes, I'd intervene. If he's just going to make an @ss of himself- I'd let him deal with it.

Well, I think it would depend on what it was. I mean, if I was against him quitting his job to pursue his dream career, and he did it anyway, I would absolutely support him when he needed me. If he was doing something dangerous or illegal, no, I would let him sink. Maybe that's mean of me, but then again, I don't think I'd ever have to make that decision.

ok... let me add: it's nothing dangerous or illegal. it's something that, i feel, will end up blowing up in his face and make him look like an azz!

it will end up costing us a bit of money, but nothing that would ruin us.

has he asked you for help or you just have a feeling?
if he asked for help I would have a hard time not helping out, unless I was dead against whatever it was

if he didn't ask for help I would just sit back but never say I told you so just be his soft place

sometimes humility can be an eye opener!

I had this with DH over the way he wanted to handle something. It had to do with his business, so it wasn't a "family" issue. It made me crazy that he couldn't see I was right. I tried to let him "sink", but I couldn't give in. We fought about it for weeks- it was really tough.

But in the end, he gave in to me (because he was exhausted by my relentlessness) and followed my advice. And after it was all over, he saw that I was right
