Need your opinion with POLL

I graduated in December with my masters in Childhood Ed, 1-6. I have been subbing in 2 districts with nothing looking too promising. Do you think I should continue subbing or consider teaching pre-school. Medical benefits are a huge concern for me but I do not want to be out of sight out of mind in the public school view. I don't know what to do. TIA all advice and opinions are appreciated.

I hated teaching preschool. Subbing has been a better experience for me.

i guess it depends on you.....i teach preschool special ed and i love it however its not for everyone.....only do it if you like it if not i would sub some more in some other districts

I teach pre-k now and I'm thinking of Subbing because I would like to "move on" but the issue of not having benefits is a very big one for me. If medical benefits is really important to you as well i would take the preschool position.

I taught Kindergarten for a year, and it's all I needed to know that the lower grades are not for me. I would stay with subbing...I've heard SO many success stories about people who were hired into their districts. You may want to put your resume out with more districts...that way you're more likely to be noticed!

Personally, I would continue subbing. I believe very strongly in the value of "face time" at districts.

I would try to get a perm sub position or even a Teaching assistant position. Some TAs make decent money with benefits, plus your in a public school where you can network.
