adopting a pet - type of shelter

Would you adopt from a shelter that euthanizes? Would it be supporting these types of shelters, or truly saving an animal from death? What is the opinion around here on kill vs. no kill shelters?

So would I.

Adoption is the best way to get a dog or cat.

Save a homeless animal. Adopt a shelter pet today.

I would adopt from either if I found the right dog. However if I was just starting to look, I may go to the kill shelter first because, as you said, you would be saving an animal from imenent death.
I'm totally for adoption in general.

I would adopt from any type of shelter...a saved pet is a saved pet.

I agree. I wouls & have adopted from both types of facilities. The truth is the municiple shelters get funding whether or not we use them. And the dogs/cats are the ones that suffer if they are not adoptedChat Icon
