Really sad
My fish Pesce died yesterday. I can't believe how upset I am about it. I was actually pretty upset, crying and stuff. DH thinks I'm nuts, he kept saying it's just a fish. But it really, really hurt me. He was MY fish. I loved him.
Rest in peace, Pesce.

It doesn't matter what kind of pet it is, he was a part of your life - sorry about your loss  How old was he?

I was sooooo upset when I lost my parrot fish too. They are very cool fish, follow you around the tank, mine even liked to be pet, LOL! Unfortunetely, I have learned they do not have a long life span. I think the worst loss was when I lost a stupido tetra that i had for 12 years!!!
They are just fish, but it still really stinks when they are lost, especially if you had them a long time.

Thanks, guys.
We had him for almost 2 years...which doesn't seem long.
I want to get a new one, but I don't think he can be replaced 
And L -- he did that for me, too. I was just telling someone that! He used to follow me around the tank, just come up and look at me, wanting attention. He was like a fish-dog.

awww a fish-dog  Are parrot fish tropical? We have an 80 gal tank at home. Are they aggressive in any way?

THATS EXACTLY what they are fish-dogs, so funny! They are DEF. my favorite type!!!!
They are in the cichlid family, so they cannot be put with regular community fish, but they are just so AWSOME!
