Back from Vegas

Vegas was fun. Thanks to everyone for all your help and suggestions.
We got there Sat morning and left Thurs morning. We did a lot of sight seeing. The only thing we didnt get to do was go downtown and I am kind of bummed about that.

We stayed at the exaculibar which was very nice but depending on how you look at the strip it is at the end or the very beginning. Nice hotel.

My absolute fave was Paris, DH and I took the eiffel tower ride.
NY NY was fun
Venetian was beauitful, we went on the gondola ride. The Alladin was great that was DH's fave.
I also really like Treasure Island which had been my first choice to stay but changed my mind.

We took the shuttle over to the RIO to see prince and that hotel is great it is so much fun.
We loved Caesars. I saw a lot and learned alot. As first timers to Vegas we did too much weshould have booked through a travel agent so we would have known about more shows, the bus system, monorail, etc,
We saw the beetles show, Fab Four mania that was great.
We also saw all the shows along the strip at the bellagio, the mirage, TI.

It was fun. I would go again. Not a huge fan of vegas but I think having seen it all I would go back but this time not do too much.
Hard Rick was cool too, Monte Carlo was nice good location, but you would never realize how nice the hotel is because there is so much working being done to that part of the strip.

Re: Back from Vegas

Ohhh I never thought to check out the Monte Carlo. Glad you had a good time!!!
We just got back on Thursday....stayed at Ballys and Cesars. We visited Rio for the seafood buffet - I love that hotel too. DH wants to stay there next time.
We saw Interpol at the Hard Rock, its a smaller hotel but I liked it.
We ate at the MGM and the Wynn and walked all over the place including Freemont St. Dont be too bummed about missing it. I am glad I saw it but its nothing like the real strip. Its kinda seedy in a way.
There is so much to do even if you dont go to shows - I love it there! You can also just use the pool all day and go out and night and still have fun having a lower key vacation.
