I ALMOST forgot to share this with you all.. (sorry it's long)
Friday after work my girlfriend was having a get together at a local bar/lounge in celebration of her getting her B.A. So..although I can't drink, I wanted to go for support. She was running late and had the upstairs reserved for her party and asked me to go early so that they would hold it. I agreed.
Ok to set the scenario..the entire day I had on shoes and by the end of the day I had taken them off, and was not able to put them back on. So I put on my flip flops which aren't very casual looking (to me).
So..5pm comes and off I go w/a co-worker of mine. I get to the place, and it had just openend, and I tell the "bouncer" why I was there, gave her name etc. He looks me up and down and says "do you have shoes you can change into?" I say "No, unfortunately I couldn't put them back on" thinking he noticed my 6 month pregnant belly sticking out. So he says "I'm sorry, I can't let you in w/those on, you have to wear shoes". I told him, "I'm 6 months pregnant, and if I could put shoes on I would, but I can't". He says "let me get the manager". The manager comes out and sees me and says "no open toe shoes tonight". So again, I proceed to tell my story of how I had shoes on blah blah blah..and then point to my belly and he says "oh..you're pregnant..it's ok". So we go in. No one shows us where to go..so we stand there. While standing there..I see all of these girls coming in with..OPEN TOE SHOES on and at first I didn't say anything. But then.. another man came up to me and decided to tell me "no open toe shoes tonight". So I tell him "the manager already ok'd me, I'm 6 months pregnant" so he shakes his head..and says "ok ok". Then I tell him, "not for nothing, but you said no open toe shoes right?" He says "yes", and I said "ok ..so tell me how come there are about 7 women over there 3 dressed in jeans, with open toe shoes on, and 2 dressed up". He says "the one in the suit is pregnant" and I said "she doesn't look pregnant". He says "TRUST ME she is..she's about 5 hours pregnant".  What an a-hole!!! I got so mad!! I went outside because I was going to leave and I call my friend who tells me not to leave.
While standing outside..I see nothing but girls coming with open toe shoes on and the bouncer says absolutely nothing to them. I went up to him and asked him why I was the only one told I couldn't come in w/open toe shoes and no one else was? Mind you I'm 6 months pregnant which is pretty obvious and I'm being given a hard time. He looks at me and says "they were here before you". At this point..I was losing my patience and was almost on the verge of tears because I was so angry.
My girlfriend got there with her boyfriend and they let the bouncer and the manager have it. I got apologized to like a million times, but to be honest with you I was so offended. I could see if this was a "ritzy" place, but it's an after work spot..and although I wasn't drinking I did plan to eat, but didn't just because I wanted them to see that I wasn't going to waste my money on them!!!

 What an A-hole!!! I was wondering how any place could say no open toed shoes???

What A-holes!!! I'm sorry you had to go through this, but to tell you the truth there are allot of men that don't really have any sort of clue about anything!!
