How long ???
My DH and I have been TTC for 5 moths I am temping and using OPT. I have had my prog. levels tested and I am definitly ovulating. Sperm analysis was done and fine. Is it possiible for everything to be fine and still take this long? Or is there a pretty good chance something may be wrong?

Re: How long ???
It took 8 months for a friend & her husband to get pregnant and there was nothing wrong.

Re: How long ???
Yes, oddly you can both be perfectly fine and take up to a year. It's so frustrating. good luck

Re: How long ???
My doctor told me to expect it to take 6 months to a year at my age (31) and that it could even take us over a year without us having any problems.....

Re: How long ???
my OB told me that overall, it takes the average fertile couple (all ages pooled together) 5 months. no idea where this info was taken from, but we got pregnant in our fifth month trying. depending on your age, it can certainly take a year or beyond and still be okay - although after the 1 year point is when it's recommended to see your OB for further fertility testing if you're under 35.

Re: How long ???
Five months is not really that long. The "standard" for investigating if there are problems is 6 months of well timed intercourse for women over 35, and 12 months of well timed intercourse for women under 35. This is funny because if you're over 35 there is a lower chance of conception each month even if there is nothing physically wrong, but they want you in for testing sooner.
