Morning Sickness....
Just a question...I'm not experiencing this myself but...For those of you who have or had m/s really bad what did you do about work. Did you go and just get sick all day, take a leave of absence for a couple of weeks or take days off here and there.

Re: Morning Sickness....
I am experiencing this right now!! It's awful, I drag myself to work every morning after gaggig, puking and just plain feel like Cr*p! I don't know how i make it through the day. Right now the only thing that keeps the queasies away is gatorade and trying to keep my tummy full. 9pm to at least 12pm the next day are the most awful hours for me.
I wish i could take leave until the sickness goes away. I am proud of myself though, I haven't called out sick yet.

Re: Morning Sickness....
Like Michele, I had the worst m/s, but thankfully it was the WORST during evening hours, away from work. I didn't take ANY time off in the first or second trimester while I was sick as a dog... I would just close my door or pop an anti-nauseau pill (Zofran), if it got really bad. Thank goodness I didn't have to go to court too many times while I was sick. I'm glad I didn't take off too much time because now that I'm in the last few days, I've taken quite a bit of time of here and there, and I don't feel as bad because this is really the first time that I've asked my company to be accomodating...

Re: Morning Sickness....
Ugh its horrible. I bring a plastic bad with me incase I have to get sick on the train. So far I've been lucky and haven't (knock wood). I'm sick all day long, its been a couple of weeks now. I cant take time off from work like that...so I make the best of it. Bread and ginger ale help. I try to eat fruit and I have chicken noodle soup for lunch most days. Everything bland.
ETA: Im also running to the bathroom all day long at work - to either be sick, or go to the bathroom (another unpleasant side effect of pregnancy) LOL My boss doesnt even ask where I am anymore. ha ha
