Everyone Cook Rice
Hi, It is International month in my school. My kindergarten and 1st grade are focusing on recipes around the world.
Since I am an enrichment teacher I thought I would read a book like "Everybody Cooks Rice" and do a cute activity.
Anyone ever use this book?
Does anyone have other book suggestions and/or activities?
Thanks

What about having a culture day,...the students can share with the clase their culture...and the parents can send in food....

Re: Everyone Cook Rice
How MY Parents Learned to Eat. It's cute b/c it's about a girl whose mom is Japanese and dad is American and they learn to eat with a fork and chopsticks (respectively). The classes can then talk about the differences between the two utensils and maybe practice using chopsticks.

Re: Everyone Cook Rice
Thanks for the idea. I was thinking about that book, but couldn't get the exact title.
I'm afraid my kids are going to hit each other with it. This class is crazy, but thanks for the great idea!
