Maggie and I were in an accident! (we're OK)
I was driving her to doggy daycare this morning and was rear ended on the service road of the LIE. My back windshield was smashed and Maggie was in the back! She jumped in the front right away. She seems ok. I think I'm the only one still a little shaky.

That is terrible! I would be so upset.
One time I had Katie in her car seat and someone cut me off so I had to slam on the breaks. She had fallen out of her seat. She was fine but I was so upset I started crying.

Thanks everyone! My niece was telling me about a friend of hers who was in an accident with her chihuahua in the car. The chihuahua was thrown over the passenger seat and ended up under it! At first she couldn't find the doggy but then heard her crying for help! How scary!
I tried using those harnesses that attach to the seatbelt. Maggie is an escape artist and would always get out of it until she chewed it up. I feel like a bad dog mommy because she wasn't belted in somehow.
