Which vacation would cost more? (Italy vs. Atlantis)

If you had the choice of going 8 nights to Atlantis or for 2 weeks to Italy - on a guided tour like ABC or something - which would probably cost more?

I'm curious to see how much Atlantis is charging per night nowadays.

I think Atlantis would cost more just because Italy you can research a lot and find more affordable deals.

I'm not sure about $$$, but 8 days at Atlantis is a LONG time........

I would choose Italy, but I think that would be the more expensive holiday. Flights to Italy would be much more than Nassau, even if you could get cheaper accommodation.

Given the rate of exchange of the Euro to Dollar too, Italy would work out very costly.

I think they could be fairly comparable $$ wise. But I think 8 days of eating and drinking at Atlantis can wind up getting ridiculous. DH and I went there to see the aquarium when our cruise was in port and we had lunch at the pool. I think we had nachos, 2 sandwiches, a beer and a Gatorage and it was like $60.

I'd go for Italy. Like Tania said, you have more flexibility to find cheaper hotels, meals, etc.

5 nights is more than enough at the Atlantis. A lot of the cost depends on what time of year you go

Go to Italy. I go to Atlantis every year with my company and after about 3 days I'm done with it. It's also very expensive to eat and drink there so that will definitely add up.
