i just did an everyday math lesson. it worked out well. obviously i tweaked it a little bit, as we do with every other math lesson!

I did writer's workshop - it worked out great bc the mini lesson and the independent practice fit the requirements perfectly.

I need one for a 4th grade class too. The bad thing is that the other two teachers in the room are doing the video too.

We plan to do it all on the same day.



They want to do reading and writng. I am not great in Math!!!

i did a reading strategy lesson... pick a specific strategy like sequencing- do a whole class intro, have them do an independent activity, walk around and monitor as they work and then sum it up.. was perfect!!

I'm changing mine. I will read them a book (partial book to save time) and copy a page from it on friendly letters. Then we will discuss why we write letters, why they look the way they do, how they look, the format and then I'll send them back to their seats to write one and that way I'll be able to conference with them.
