Feedback on any of these places ?
I may be going away with my sister for a little mini vacation 
So the possibitlies are
Punta Cana
Puerto Vallarta
Cancun
it will be an all inclsusive.
im sure any will be great, but just wanted to hear any reviews good or bad!

We went to Punta Cana. It is a very poor but beautiful country. If you stay all in clusive beware of the resort we stayed at - Sunscape the beach. There was a ton of kids and the food was horrible. On our way to the airport in the bus that picked us up, people were talking about the resort they stayed at and I believe it was a Sercets resort. They kept bragging about the excellent food and serviced they received there

I did not like Punta Cana at all. The area is so unbelievably poor I could not enjoy myself at a hotel compund knowing women were holding naked children just down the road. DR has a long way to go before it can compete with other island tourism.
Also I stayed in a 3-4 star hotel that lost its electricity for 4 days. When DR loses its power it also loses its water (I have no idea why)
Spend you hard earned money somewhere else

I've been to all 3. My personal preference is Puerto Vallarta. But I would honestly go to which ever one you can get the best deal for. You said it's a mini-vacation, so any of those places would be nice for a couple of days.

My friend just got back from an all inclusive in Punta Cana and said it was nice at the resort but the surrounding areas were very poor and a little scary. She said the airport was nuts too.

we have been to DR twice, once to Punta Cana and once to LaRomana and never did we feel like we were in danger... as a matter of fact we took a trip to Santo Domingo (3 hours away) and we thought the city was great (of course there are poor parts as well) but we loved seeing all the historical spots in the city...
both times we stayed at Iberostars and I highly recommend that hotel chain...
