very cool pets. my next door neighbors at my childhood home had a tortoise, it was actually the grandmother's. She lived there & was 87 & she had the tortoise since she was FIVE
Its name was Juan, she found it in Puerto Rico where she was raised & had it her whole life. It roamed around her apartment & sometimes outside.
It was only about a foot long if that.
we have predator proof enclosures for the chickens & the bunny if you want ideas.

I saw a turtle in the park this afternoon and took a picture with my camera phone just so I could post it here....but of course I have NO IDEA how to download the pictures!!

what kind of phone do you have? you can usually save it and then email it to your home address...then save as a jpeg, etc.
Was he someone's pet or au natural?

The turtle was just wandering around, all on its own. I've seen it there before - maybe a different one, not sure.
OK I am going to get DH to download the pictures tonight -- so we can all look at turtles and not argue!!

They like leafy greens: collards, mesculin, dandelion, mustard greens...they also eat carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, apple. They're not too fond of banana...and we limit their sweets intake as it's not the best diet for them.
We started a garden and are growing them collards as well as 3 other lettuce varieties that we'll share with them
