The Treasure Jar
My husband found this website, and I think it is hysterical. Check it out (with documentation and everything!)

Re: The Treasure Jar
Hey! Don't knock it until YOU can come up with a better way to entertain a 15 year old AND a toddler at the same time without spending any money!
Here's an animation we made about some of our treasures coming to life and falling in love:
more silliness...

Re: The Treasure Jar
One of the first things that ended up in our first jar was an alien keychain found by our daughter. It was our most interesting item found for a while so it kind of became our mascot.
The point of this is that every family should have *something* that they can participate in AS A FAMILY no matter how silly.
We're very proud to say that USA Today featured us in their actual hard copy newspaper (not just the online version), so there must at least be some entertainment value in this.

Re: The Treasure Jar
my husband now admits it is a good idea as long as you wash your hands... but he couldnt deal with the stats and documentation - that would need to be my responsibility - NO THANKS!
