HELP - 6th grade ELA summer school
I'm teaching 6th grade ELA in summer school for 5 weeks.
I want to do a read aloud and book clubs and one unit of study.
Any ideas for a read aloud? What about book clubs? Any new books out that are really high interest?
They don't have to be a 6th grade reading level - 3, 4, 5th is fine!
TIA!

PIctures of Hollis Woods :)
I love it!!! My professor read it aloud to us in a Reading course I took at Dowling. It is a great, meaningful story.

Just remembered- I read Holes by Louis Sachar to my class- they loved it.
Chicken Soup books are great for read-alouds- the length is perfect.
