Hey Girls!!!! I am new here. Will be TTC in July or August. Just wondering if any of you are planning around your job to get pregnant/deliver during a certain time that would not affect your job.

one of the things I have learned so far about TTC is that you really can't plan for anything. You can try, but nothing is a guarantee.

First of all - congrats & welcome!
Yeah, actually I am probably going to change jobs after we have a little one. Things are not going great in my company but I don't want to start a new job and then need maternity leave.

Welcome!! May your stay here be short!
As for the job, I waited until I was at my new job 10 mos to start. While you never know when you'll conceive, I wasn't comfortable at the thought of maternity leave prior to 18 mos, hence my decision to wait until 10 mos to do it. It's not the pregnancy rather than the leave that I would consider but only you can decide what is professionally appropriate.

I am a SAHM so I cant really answer your questions but as alot of the other ladies on here I've learned that when TTC anything can happen.

Welcome aboard.
DH and I considered trying to plan around my job (I work in a very seasonal field). But decided against it. We believe when the time is right it will happen and we will welcome it whenever that time may be.
