boiling corn on the cob?

how long do you boil corn on the cob for? how much salt should i put in the water?

not long maybe 10 minutes. You will see the change in the color (turns brighter). I don't like corn that has been overcooked and turns soggy.
I also do not add salt or butter to my water, I like to enjoy it's natural flavor.

I heard you should not add salt. And once the water boils, it only needs 5-7 minutes or so.

i add sugar to the water, not salt.
I made it last night actually. Put the corn in the cold water, bring to a boil, then cook for 15 minutes.

I add butter and milk to the water and put corn in when it boils for about 5 minutes.
