Suggest A Hotel In Montauk

I am planning our anniversary trip for a few days in Montauk in August. Any ideas for where to stay? Thanks!

depends on your price range! Chat Icon

Royal Atlantic is great. You can get a room for 3 nights for $320 and that includes a free full breakfast each morning. It's a bit outdated, but perfectly clean and fine (it sits on the beach centrally located in town).

The Manor, Montauk Yacht Club & Gurneys are all nice choices but they're about $200-250 a night. Very nice though, especially for a special occasion! Chat Icon

And then there is also Altantic Terrace which is nice, newly updated, on the beach (and in town) and is about $150 a night i believe.

So it all depends on what you're going for. Let me know if you have any other questions! I grew up there... so feel free to ask. Chat Icon

I personally hate the Royal Atlantic...I hate the guys who run itChat Icon

I like Ocean Beach and Snug Harbor.

The only places in Montauk that are truly nice and not a motel type of place is the Montauk Manor, Montauk Yacht Club and the Royal Atlantic Condominiums.

Re: Suggest A Hotel In Montauk

I love the Manor, but in August would want to be on the beach.

Gurneys is great...we have a timeshare there. But it is $$$ in summer.

I didn't like the Yacht Club when we stayed there....but it was the weekend of the parade so maybe that's why.

Wavecrest wasn't too bad a few years ago.

well again it all depends on your price range and what you like eating. For seafood... go to Gosmans (pretty view on the harbor). For an asian twist... go to ENE. For steak, go to The Palm in East Hampton. Another good restaurant is The Harvest which sits on the pond (it's family style and they have chicken, steak, pasta, & seafood, etc). Chat Icon
