I have decided that I am not even going to bother with the demo. The crime rates in the area are alarmingly high and I just won't risk it. Especially because the majority of crimes are violent sexual crimes. I am to scared to even go there to demo at this point.

After much thought and the help of many of you along with my cousin (NYPD), I have decided that I will call them and say a polite no thank you. How do I word it? I just feel badly for the children who deserve good teachers. I know I could make a difference, but I can't put myself at risk.

i totally understnd i would just say thank you for considering me but it is not the right place for me. Use distance or some other polite excuse.
