Dr H patients who already had their baby....
What can you tell me about the the whole L&D with her or Dr. Dolisi?? As my due date approaches I am getting sooo nervous (i still have less than 10 wks, but now its starting to hit me)...I think they are both excellent dr's so i am sure i have nothing to worry about, but i am just getting so scared for the whole process...
I have no indication that I will be having a c-section, but in the event that I did need one, how is your scar and your healing??
TIA!

Re: Dr H patients who already had their baby....
Well I guess I can answer you.
I have to say its hard for me to say much about Dr. H...b/c I had been seeing Dr. Dolisi mostly for the last few visits and in the hospital and he knew a lot more of my end story then she did.
But I saw her at the end when I was in labor. I honestly saw her for all of 4 minutes before we decided on the C-section.
Both her and Dr. Dolisi did my c section together.
I heard from all the nurses how "wonderful" my scar looked, and they all seemed so impressed ( and Im pretty sure the resident who scrubbed in did the stiching )...
So I cant really say what either would be like in a vaginal birth situation, but Dr. Dolisi really helped me Wednesday night calm down when I had my false alarm and he came to see me in the Hospital to make sure he got to take a picture with Noah before we were discharged.
If you have any specific ?'s....you can FM me

I am considering dr hanauer as a new dr. she's in practice with a male docotr? You have to see the male doctor as well if you see dr hanauer? how have you liked them as a practice till this point?

No, you don't have to see Dr. Dolisi if Dr. H is your doctor. But they do work together on coverage. So, if Dr. H is not on duty that night, you might have the delivery with Dr. Dolisi. I wanted to meet Dr. Dolisi at least once during my pregnancy since there could have been a chance he delivers my baby. In the end, he is the one who will perform the c-section due to the schedule date of the c-section. I am now glad I met the man before hand.
I love their practice. Everybody, from receptionists to nurses, is wonderful. They are very nice and helpful.

there is a definite chance that dr dolisi would deliver your baby so its a good idea to meet with him. also, 2 other male drs cover them for 1 or 2 weekends each month so if you go into labor on a weekend there is a very good chance a male dr would be delivering you! i love dr h, but i have met dr dolisi as well and i found him so thorough...i would have absolutely no problem with him delivering my baby!

Re: Dr H patients who already had their baby....
I had met Dr Dolisi only once during my pregnancy,. He never examined me and he just was introduced to me. Dr H delivered my son. I tried to stay home as long as possible before I decided to call her. I was 5 days late and there was no doubt that I was in full labor. When I tried to call the office no one picked up and there was no forwarding emergency number so I went straight to Winthrop. They told me she wasn't on call and I was kind of upset about it because they told me it another Dr. that I had never heard of. An intern checked me and said I was 3-4cm and told go walking for a few hours (that is very pleasant during back labor!) So after walking for 10 min I started bleeding and went back into the triage area and they said I was 5-6 (in 10 minutes, not bad!) and then moved me to the Labor area. DR. Dolisi walked in after a while and and said that Dr Hanauer was on her way! I had just agreed for an epidural .I was so happy she was coming! He left the room and Dr. Hanauer walked in about 20 minutes later. She had left a family function to come deliver my son. She said she didn't want to miss it! I only had my epidural in for about 15 minutes! She checked me and said I was 10cm and the baby's head was right there! I pushed for 3 sets of contractions and my son was born! She stayed less than 2 hours ! I hardly felt any discomfort "down there" so I guess she stiched me up perfectly! I love her! Nobody came to see me after I delivered until the morning I was leaving to do my son's circumsion and to discharge me. Dr. H came to do it. I love that woman! I can't wait to be pregnant again (God willing.. hopefully soon!)
