Lexie was spayed yesterday
I feel sooo bad for her. I've never dealt with anythng like this before. I am trying to make her as comfy as possible, but she looks so sad. The poor thing is wearing a collar (cone thingy) and HATES it, but she is a huge biter/chewer so we are supposed to keep it on her for a whole week. How long before they start feeling better? Poor sweet baby.

Re: Lexie was spayed yesterday
Dottie was feeling better in about 2 days. She started jumping on day 3.
Please keep the incision as clean as possible. If it starts to look red/puffy, you can clean it gently with some warm water and peroxide.
She'll be feeling better in no time.

Thanks girls. Lexie is feeling great! She hates the collar so I am going to try the t-shirt idea, thank you for the suggestion!!!!

Re: Lexie was spayed yesterday
Good to hear she is feeling better. We couldn't keep the collar on Misty either...but be careful about the licking. Misty did start to open one of her stitches too soon and it got very ugly looking. It all ended up okay...but they can lick the sutures out.
