I hate field day!!!
Tomorrow is field day. I have been dreading it all year. I so desperately want to call in sick but alas I can't. Can someone do a rain dance for me so it gets cancelled?? :)

Mine is tomorrow too! I hate field day but it should be around 70 degrees---not bad!

we had ours yesterday.... it was chilly, but better than being hot! also, we had PTA parents running all of the activities so all the teaching staff had to do was follow the kids around all day... better than teaching all day

Thats how ours is mainly structured
PTA plans and does the cooking and cleaning
Special teachers run the events
Classroom teachers walk their own class around

We had ours on Monday, I love it because we don't have to stay with the kids, Parents come in and take them from station to station, and we get to stay inside and do placement, report cards, etc. By the time field day is over they eat lunch I read them a story and then its time for them to go home!

Why does everyone hate field day so much? I actually love it...I'd MUCH rather be outdoors at the end of the year, rather than being cooped up in my stuffy classroom with 25 kids that have no desire to do anything!!
Funny thing is, I'm NOT an outdoors person usually...but am I the only one that actually LIKES field day?

Thank god it's over. It wasn't as unorganized as last year but none the less, it was a horrible day. I'm so glad I won't have to see it for another year!
