Coloring your own hair
I have a lot of grays and I don't have the time to get to the salon for a while. Any suggestions of the brand of hairdye to use?

Re: Coloring your own hair
I go to Sally Beauty Supply. My hair dresser told me the brand she uses, the color, and the product she uses. I use "wella" hair dye. They are white boxes with little brown jars.
The product I use is used by profressionals and it lasts longer through washes

Re: Coloring your own hair
its hard for me because i try to use products that dont do animal testing, which eliminates most hair dyes... but i have found that Colorsilk by Revlon seems to work really well. :)

Re: Coloring your own hair
I wish I had done it myself. $200 spent last night and she didn't even cover the few grey hairs I pointed out before we started.

Re: Coloring your own hair
I use Nice 'n Easy Gray Solution, I tried other brands, but this is the only one that covers my stubborn grays, and I have a LOT of them! I highly recommend!

This is what I use as well
I add a product called Grey Magic in for better coverage

Re: Coloring your own hair
I used herbal essences last nite for the first time - my hair has never been so soft and silky. I usually use Feria, but I find it doesnt "take" to my hair all the time.

Re: Coloring your own hair
loreal preference is the closest thing to salon dye you can buy in a drug store.
i rarely pay the salon to dye my hair anymore.

Re: Coloring your own hair
Thanks for all the suggestions!
I went with Loreal Natural match and it worked pretty well. Its a little flat because I chose the natural brown color. Next time maybe I'll try golden brown for a little contrast.
