I'm too nervous to go Brazillain. UGH! I t hought that Brazillian just left a strip, not leaving you bald!

You can request that they leave some hair. (They sometimes ask if you want it all removed.)

Brazilian refers to removing the hair from the perineal area, as opposed to to just the front area of the bikini like.

i dont get why people just dont shave it all of instead?

You can go 4-5 weeks with no, to little hair growth when you wax. And as other's have said, it starts to come in more sparse.

I don't know about others, but I used to get ingrown hairs when I shaved. I don't get any when I wax.

I'm the opposite. I only got them when I waxed.

Re: just had my first brazilian wax!

I just dont get how it hurt so badly when I went last summer but everyone on here doesnt mind it a bit

I was crying I was in so much pain- I'm jealous because I would love to do this again to make bathing suit season so much easier

Did you take an anti-inflammatory 30-45 minutes prior to the waxing?

There are also a creams out there that you can use to help numb the area.

You apply them 30-40 minutes before waxing. (I haven't tried them myself, but my salon carries the No-Scream Cream.)

Re: just had my first brazilian wax!

My place calls completely bald a french wax. leaving a strip or anything is a brazilian. I think they all make up their own names..
