I already have 2 dogs, will a third really matter.
My dh is so sweet, its whatever I want, and I am going back and forth over this decision. I know we only have a 2 bdrm cottage house, but our yard is huge.

What kind of dogs do you have now? And what kind are you looking at?

Re: I already have 2 dogs, will a third really matter.
I might be the wrong person to respond, since at one point we had 5 dogs in a 2 BR ranch, but I think once you have 2 anything more than that is not much difference, as long as you can give them equal time & love, and can afford the extra food & care expense, I say go for it!
I will say that once you have 3 or more, they begin to form a "pack" mentality and some re-training may be required to maintain your status as the Alpha in the house.

I went from 2 to 3. I have small dogs so there really wasn't much difference EXCEPT in vet costs! I also find it harder to walk them alone. However, if you have room in your heart and wallet, go for it!

I have a 9yo lhasa and a 3yo labradoodle. I would be looking for a poodle, small schnauzer etc. I love the little ones and so does the labradoodle.

I have two dogs...my DH wants a third...but I want to wait till after we have a child, that way the puppy and the baby can grow up together...plus our "litte" dog just turned a year old and she is very much a puppy...she is such a nut, no way I could handle another puppy now!

My friend has 3 Boston terriers. She is so happy with them but there was a big change in the dynamics when she added the third. It was an adjustment and she called a trainer in. She has no regrets, though.

A new puppy will be LOTS of work, but a 3rd dog who is already house trained and mature would fit right in!!
