I have Silestonne and I like it alot. We just got them about a month ago. But they are easy to clean and look great. We looked at Corian too but I liked the color I got at Silestone (Coffee brown)

Re: Let's talk countertops

We have laminate and I love it... We weren't interested in a more expensive alternative and for $150 its perfect. There are so many color combo/textures to choose from. We've had it for 6 months and its still in perfect condition...and if it scratches down the line so what it was only $150 Chat Icon

Re: Let's talk countertops

I have Corian (the color is a light brown called mojave and we got beveled edges which adds a nice touch) - and I like it, they look nice, and are very low maintenance and very durable.

However, I do prefer granite better but it just wasnt in our budget at the time we redid the kitchen and we didnt have that many countertops to start with so I just thought it didnt make sense. In my next house, I will have the luxury kitchen!

Re: Let's talk countertops

I love our granite. It's a color called Lady Dream that is a beige with copper/brown/black/white in it. It is so low maintenance, doesn't show fingerprints or crumbs (even stains aren't obvious).

We got ours at Italia Stone in Island Park.

We have Corian and I love it! Corian is so easy to clean. I don't have any other specifics about it because it was there when we bought the house. There are pictures in my album.

Re: Let's talk countertops

We have laminate and I hate it! When we bought the house, it was a new construction, but it was almost done and we didn't have input in the design of the house. I definitely would have upgraded to granite. I love the look of granite, but it's just not in the budget right now.

We have laminate because it came with the house and I hate it!!!

I will get either silestone or corian if we redo the kitchen. I do not like the look of granite.
