Starting to get nervous!!!!!
Technically, I only have 9 weeks to go if we do a C/S at 35 weeks (depending of shape of mother and children) I have been very lucky and have not gained a tremendous amount of weight! However, I am starting to get nervous about what happens when we get home! Will me nonchalant husband kick it into gear? Can I really breast-feed two? Will I have enough stuff?
It is really starting to sink in!

Re: Starting to get nervous!!!!!
You will do wonderfully, yes, you can really breastfeed 2! Not that i was able to do it for as long as I would have liked, but it is definetly possible!
Try to get some rest now, don't stress, I have found that everything has a way of working itself out. Remember, you want to keep those babies in as long as possible! Everyday makes a difference.
I'm sure or I should say that I hope your dh is super supportive, you are definetly going to need each other. Thats the only thing that helped me survive those first few months!!!!!!
Good Luck!

Re: Starting to get nervous!!!!!
stacey-you can totally do it!!! my twins are 1 month old today and are nursing great (late at night, it seems like too great!!) you can definitely produce enough milk, just stick to it. i spoke a lot with the lactation consultant in the hospital, even after we left and i went to another one, when one baby was having difficulty. i also called a la leche league leader several times for advice.
please feel free to fm me, or i can give you my phone number if you need to talk to anyone. this first month has been exhausting like nothing i have ever felt before, but with a supportive dh and family, we are getting through it. i suggest you have dh read up on some stuff, so he has an idea of what to expect. i also suggest you freeze food now, take any offers of help and food you get and if you don't have a dish washer like me, buy paper plates and cups-trust me no time for dishes!!
you will do great!! this is going to be the best experience of your life!! please sleep as much as possible now-you will be sooooo grateful you did!!!
(edited to add hugs)

Re: Starting to get nervous!!!!!
You can do it all.
My husband was very nochalant about everything, once my boys got here, he really stpeed up. I would not have been able to do it without him, and he could do eveyrthing I could do, except pump milk within 2 days of them being home. Don't give him the option of helping, make it si 50/50 endeavor.
Family and friedns made it like I was going to be in h*ll with two of them, but it was not like everyone made it out to be.
You can definitly breast feed them both, it will take practice and patience, but if you can tandem nurse it will really make a difference. I was never able to do this, and ultimately switched to just pumping, but it can be done.
Only positive thoughts from here on out!
Good Luck!!!!!

Re: Starting to get nervous!!!!!
deep, cleansing breath! You're going to be wonderful! You're never given more than you can handle Take each moment, hour, day at a time and it will all fall into place. And when the going gets tough, do not hesitate to ask for help. I'm sure there are a lot of people in your life who would like nothing better than to give you a break!
And you know we're all here for you, too, of course
