Scared of haircuts!!
Is anyone else with me?
I'm getting my japanese straightening touched up on Thursday and will end up cutting it as well. Right now my hair is maybe 2 inches below the bottom of my bra strap. I am OBSESSED with long hair. I could probably deal with like 2-4 inches shorter than this without fear, but the thought of going shorter scares me. I'm kinda torn though, because I love this haircut for the summer, and with pin straight super shiney hair i think it'll look great 
But that would entail me cutting like 12 inches off my hair. I know it would look SOO much healthier - my ends are a little dead and I feel like they won't be clean unless I cut a significant amount off.
What is it about haircuts that scare the sh*t out of me? I know it's only hair and it'll grow back... so why am I bugging out?!

But the thing is.. by the time I get it back to this length, the ends will be dead again.. so what good am I really doing anyway?  see how I just talked my way out of the cut?..lol I'm nuts!

I wont cut my hair- I do have bangs- but they are alittle flat still from JHS 6 weeks ago- they should be good in another week- if I bothered to get out the blow dryer to see
my hair is only 1 inch past my bra strap- but I cut 2 inches off after JHS

I have bangs too.. but they are long side bangs and I feel like they grow UBER fast.. this time I am DEF going shorter in the bang area.. as for the rest of my hair... I'll decide on Thursday!!!

seriously, there are many reasons it could be.
Sometimes it's just change that scares people.
You will still be you with long or shorter hair..that will never change.
It could be quite liberating.

its only hair...it will grow back...and i think that hair cut is very pretty!
I've always had long hair and after my wedding i Chopped 10 inches off and donated it to locks of love...I went short and did an inverted bob...it was a good change and my hair felt like it came back to life afterwards....i think its always good to give your hair a good cut once and a while!

If you love your long hair and want it to be healthy, you should cut off the dead ends (maybe 4-6 inches) and then every 2 months or so get a trim. That way you will still have your long hair but it will beautiful and not gross looking.

I get scared, too. I do cuts, but nothing MAJOR and I always let it grow back. Then, I get bored again...like now! ha ha!

DO IT!!!!!!!! Ok I get that you LOVE long hair, but do you love long DEAD BRITTLE hair? This will give you an opportunity to make it look healthy and awsome. What about telling her you like this style but to make it longer for you? I think you should Good Luck

I was always scared to cut my hair because it was very curly until I had children. After I got married I decided to cut it from probably your length maybe a little longer to my shoulders and I loved it and it looked cute. It was the summer and it didn't frizz up. Well it kept getting shorter and shorter and the shorterst I had it was chin length but my curls got so much softer the shorter I went and that was 2 years ago. Now I am letting it grow out again because I never had kinda wavy hair and their are so many styles I can now have.
The inital cut is always a shock but once you learn to style it and you see how people resond to how you look it is addicting. The only downside is that I feel like you need to get it cut more to keep up with the look. I also love the haircut you posted.
